Bercan Consulting - Business Intelligence solutions

Nearly two years have passed since we launched Bercan Consulting, and there has been quite some activity in this period: In spring 2009 we signed a Channel Partner agreement with Infor, which focuses on selling Infor PM in Scandinavia (and now expanded to the United Kingdom). We have since then closed 2 large contracts in Performance Management:

Office Depot agreed in the summer of 2009 to revitalize their old version of Comshare MPC and are now running Infor PM 10.1

FOSS - had ink in the pen to a contract with a major competitor in early 2009, decided to re-evaluate the market in early 2010 and selected Infor PM 10.1. We have now implemented - see the attached press release with more details.

In addition, we have assisted Infor direct sales to close several deals in Norway, by selling Infor PM 10.1 to Arendal Fossekompani, EFD Induction and Markedskraft in the summer 2009. Arendal Fossekompani went into full production in fall 2009, and EFD Induction started with the monthly reporting here in the early summer of the 2010. Arendal Fossekompani makes solid use of the ownership process to handle frequent changes in ownership percentages and a complex equity note following the IFRS standard. In this complex accounting field, we are the leader in Scandinavia with more successful solutions behind us.

Application Studio and Office Plus is now fully integrated into Infor PM, and we have assisted ACO in Germany to convert all WEB reports to Application Studio. Application Studio gives users a more flexible and professional reporting solution with good print quality from the web. Arendal Fossekompani, EFD Induction and Market Power are trained in the new reporting products and Application Studio is fully implemented in FOSS.

To support our sales efforts, we have formally engaged Richard Gant who we have worked with for years. Richard is a chartered accountant with over 20 years experience and a brilliant understanding of the business value Infor PM can give a company. He will focus on the UK market, but also work now and then out of Copenhagen. On the more technical side, we have just employed MSc. Information technology Kim Beck. Kim has a solid theoretical foundation and extensive knowledge of Business Intelligence. Kim moves from Esbjerg to Copenhagen, but has already had his first out of town assignment. A week's sharp workout in Infor's new data integration solution ION - completed in Paris. ION was presented by Infor at the recently held Channel Partner Conference in Annecy in France with the new strategic partnership agreement with Microsoft. The agreement means that Microsoft develops the basic technology, Windows, Windows Azure (Cloud), SQL Server, SQL Azure, SharePoint Server, Silverlight, Dynamics and Office Pack while Infor continues to develop applications with high functionality.

Our efforts to make a good product even better have not been held idle either. WEB Feed Control 2.0 is out, with an improved database schema. The administrator will then have razor-sharp control of the consolidation process, which runs much faster by splitting it in time and space. In addition we have included the ability to launch SQL code with parameters, Prepare IC Elimination and Start the New Year. Please see the attached product sheet for more details.

The plan for the near future for Bercan Consulting is to expand our sales efforts and increase the penetration of Infor PM products in the region, and constantly improve the functionality, quality and efficiency of our add-ins. As always, based on Bercan Consulting respecting customer needs, solution design, and high level of support and service. Specifically, this will translate into a new and better version of WEB Feed Control and an improved IC matching report that supports Year to date reporting and drill down functionality.
